This RAP has been developed in partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and organisations. We have directly consulted local community members and have consciously and actively listen to their perspective and needs. It was a genuine group effort, and we could not have developed this plan without them.
One of our greatest partners and supporters is Yarnnup, an Aboriginal consulting and training organisation. Together, we have started to map out our approach for community engagement and embarked on our own cultural awareness journey. This has included engaging in training delivered by Yarnnup at the National Centre for Indigenous Excellence in Redfern, NSW in early 2020.
We are most certainly on a journey, but one we are deeply committed to. We have formally pledged to achieve 13 different actions and over 30 deliverables in 2021. Spearheaded by our General Manager and a working group of six, the successful execution of this plan is a companywide priority.
